>Game's fixed camera angles consistently ruin your combos and obscure bosses from view.>Story is retarded and Dante's character is flat and boring>Puzzles are brain-dead easy >Yet, somehow this game in particular is highly rated (likely by secondaries and coping boomers)This game is shit. Admit it. >This game is old, you should expect clunky controls from old games.I do, however this game was designed by retards.

>>733647951The gameplay is good so the game is good. Puzzles are gay.
the only bad thing about it is the us/eu version was made harder than the japanese for no reason
>>733648291You're a fucking faggot die now
>>733648374>harderI beat it when i was like fucking 9
>>733647951DMC2 was simply cooler back then unless you were autistic into TMNT. 00s edge was the cool thing and it nailed that so hard.
>>733648291>The gameplay is goodIt's marred by the retardedly placed camera angles during boss fights. I can't tell you how many times I'd dodge forward/back instead of to the side because the camera angle changed midway. No reason boss fights couldn't have had 1 or 2 camera angles that panned wherever you moved. There are examples of this in DMC1 actually, but they're sparse because japs are stupid.

Are there more games like DMC1 and NGB where it's more "adventure" than just arenas and action? Man you'd think there would be more but all I can think of is Uncharted but that's not really slash slash combo wombo stuff.
>>733649067God of War trilogy
>>733648374that's 3
>>733649067Onimusha is clearly the inspiration for the RE environment with sword-fighting stuff. It doesn't exactly play like DMC, but it's fun. Besides that, maybe Final Fantasy 16 will work..
