It is a recap but with +500 choices that make the episodes you have watched play in a waaaaaaay different way @_@ not to mention tens of original new stories that are exclusive to the vn, one of them being the Iwasawa route that showed us a new conclusion to her story that is different than the anime... it is a +30 hours game so you can easily see how it got different content from the 3 hours anime V-V

YES T-T The VN was written in a way that makes the anime watchers keep smiling when they are now seeing stuff they always wished to see in the anime but were never capable of having... not to mention how it is written in a way that feels like a big present for us...

There are a couple of AB! mangas that are really fun to read but the one that you MUST read is "Angel Beats!: Heaven's Door". It is the prequel of the anime and the VN did a couple of small references to it... it is one of the best manga I have read and just like the VN it makes lots of our wishes and dreams come true... we now have Hinata as our MC T-T
After you finish the VN, if you super liked it and wish to see more of it? you can check the HBR AB!'s events that had exclusive stories that were written by the same writer and told us the past and conclusion of a couple of characters that didn't have that much screen time in the VN... I have read 2 of the 3 of them currently there and they got the same SOVL of the VN T-T

Damn, I will have to add it to read soon. I liked the anime and so did the wife. Interested in HBR except I do not do gacha really. (well I did but fucking Nier ruined the idea of it)

Even tho this "gacha" got nearly no FOMO at all I understand anons who don't want to go for any gacha... you can find the events uploaded on YouTube if you just wish to see the AB! stories or you can wait for an actual chance of HBR receiving an offline version after its story is concluded... we know that 2027 might be its last year with how Maeda-sensei mentioned himself working on the ending of the game a couple of weeks ago.
