The games were at their peak when they were arcadey and physics worked like everyone was skating on the moon. The second skating games became realistic and simulation based they stopped being fun. Sportsball games are the opposite where the more grounded and realistic ones are the more fun ones and the whacky and cartoonish ones inevitably end up failing or become irrelevant at best

YOU STILL CANT PLAY A GAME OF FUCKING SKATEI love this series but I hope full circle shuts down and everyone involved in the game is executed in the streets

The gameplay and animations are overall best in the series, but there are some pretty big caveats to that. The animation for turning while cruising is fucking awful, and a bunch of shit is kinda buggy like lip tricks. I've made posts about it before but whenever I would eat or get in bed to go to sleep I would watch playthroughs of shit I knew I'd never play either because I just wouldn't play the game itself or I just didn't have the platform. For example I would constantly watch Longplays of MGS4 because I knew there was no way in hell I'd ever actually play that shit but I'd watch a Longplay like it was a tv show ever night and funnily enough that shit would put me right to sleep 15 mins in. I would also watch playthroughs of shit that were on Wii since I never owned one or a WiiU. Like I vaguely remember watching a ZombiU playthrough year ago before it got ported to PS. Then there are some horror games that I have no desire to play myself but I'll watch a playthrough of just to experience them. Like I used to love watching playthroughs of shit like Silent Hill and old RE games..
