Well in the 90s I would have to use game cracks and key generators but now people just put their game on steam with the digital equivalent of a sticky note that says "(not) DRM" on it you can just take off. Most people who game just use Maets and it's good enough for all of their friends. Normies just use their phones but as phones don't have social media they just text and call normally.
