Gaming is being memoryholed in a coordinated measure known as The Great Reset.There'll be WW3 of some kind, and the game business is reduced to a bare minimum. Then the money system is reset and there's a new way of running society (more digital, AI, whatever) and then the game industry may or may not reemerge in some form, or it'll all be AI slop that people accept because it's finally good and proves that AI is more entertaining than playing handcrafted ready-made experiences that never change, or something.
Consoles are a dead end at this point, and I guess console companies recognize that.
