>>733666945I used to organize my steam library, but when the steam family polycule sharing shit became a thing, I instantly got like 700 something new games flooded and just stopped giving a fuck. Now I just stick everything that I want to play soon into one category and remove them once finished, and then the favorites tab for replayable/multiplayer games.

>>733669121what's the point?
>>733666945Mostly centered around backlog tracking. The Archipelago tag helps me find games to play with friends without needing to go over the massive spreadsheet of supported games
you should categorize your games based on your playing habits. i tend to try a bunch of different types of games and am regularly looking for new games to play alongside some of my main "forever games". also, for this system i filter my steam library to only display games which are installed and some games can be in multiple sections. i really like this system for managing a backlog.favorites - installed, always come back to for months/yearsplan to play - installed, whatever im playing that month or two but eventually will stop playing (i.e. a singleplayer story game)'on hold - uninstalled, backlog of games i eventually want to play or games im taking a break from for a long period of time until interest rekindles.replayable - uninstalled/installed. live service stuff, multiplayer stuff, roguelikes, anything with a lot of replayability that doesn't really have an "ending"completed - uninstalled mostly, games i've played sufficiently / to completion.dropped - uinstalled, games i own but don't like and won't bother coming back to.co-op - a bit redundant but its useful when figuring out what games to play with friends (we generally don't play pvp multiplayer)peak gaming - games i really liked, when people ask me for my taste in games, these games are the games i mention. generally uninstalled.
>>733669258I think it just looks like shit, and that glowing blue crap doesn't need to exist at all.
>>733666945genre. i tried adding in play commitment/multiplayer and some other stuff but it always just falls back to genre.
