Now that Xbox is actually dead, is it worth buying a series x?
Nah I'd just get a bone the only thing good about Xbox is backwards compatibility
>>733684056Yea I think I’d mostly want it for bc didn’t know if an xbone would be good enough for everything
It’s less worth it than ever because of the price increase. If you find one used for cheap it’s worth it for the backwards compatibility. Dev mode emulators are a cool bonus too
The disc edition is finally back in stock (AMZ US) and funny enough cheaper than the digital version. Quick resume is great and well suited to GamePass as they really built this thing with jumping between games frequently. I feel Sony has the better mobile app but the Xbox ones passable.
>>733683940Buy a Dreamcast and a PC engine.I hear they'll be a zoomer collectors craze in a year or so.
>>733683940no
>>733683940I'm keeping mine so I can still play Panzer Dragoon Orta and a shitload of other backwards compatible games, but I'm never buying another xbox again.
>>733686030I already own a dreamcast and a PC Engine so cool, I guess.
>>733684203The One X is good enough. It supports all the "Xhancements".
>>733688035If you can get one of those cheap that'd be my recommendation too.
>>733683940yes, the controller alone is worth around $100 now on amazon. it's a good deal.
Back compat, dev mode pcsx2 works really well, if you're a thirdie like me the regional prices are also really good and it's still getting third party support (god knows for how long tho), smooth and pleasant UI.Honestly, it's one of the best systems i ever owned, if only microsoft didn't shoot themselves in the foot over and over again
There's a few backward compatible games that are really good to grab since it's objectively the best way to play certain 360 and Original Xbox games due to them being built for controller and/or having a superior surround sound mix to PCThere's like 2 or 3 exclusives for the xbox one that never got ported and the dev mode/homebrew emulation is really good so you can easily set up a 6th gen emulation machine (do recommend using an external hard drive though to make storing roms easier)I got mine brand new for $400 Aussie dollars when they were on sale and I'd say it was worth it but that was a while ago before the price hike and it seems they never go south of $600 now360 and orignial xbox emulation are decent these days but there's still a long way to go so if you have any Backwards compatible games you'd like to play again I'd recommend it maybe if you got the console cheap/2nd hand
>>733688035>The One X is good enough. It supports all the "Xhancements".No it doesn't lots of games (including some Backwards Compatible games) have FPS boosts for the Series X that the Xbox One X doesn't
I like my series x. I play crackdown with my son
>>733688035HDD lmao time to let go
