I think this is the only genre that can get away with something like this, because I don't think I've ever played an intentionally funny action game, but these 90's adventure games are killer with the comedy. If an action game were funny and it were also difficult, you'd groan after hearing the same line again and again and again as you reload from the last checkpoint.
