Where do I start with this series? I own regular Rebirth and the original game. But now there are like 4 additions expansions? DLCs?Do I need all of them?Or should I play Rebirth without any DLCs first?
Just play the base game, dlcs are for autists who only play roguelikes and issac js their main game.
Afterbirth is an alright content addition. Greed mode isn't that interesting but the rest feels naturally integrated.Repentance is definitely not needed, the shit it adds is for isaac veterans who wanted more challenge and if you're not into that, it's just unfun.
just buy the bundle with all dlcs and play the gamethe dlcs are integrated in the game so you're not doing specific quests in order, you just play and your runs may or may not have dlc stuff in them

>>733699823Rebirth, if you like it get the Afterbirth DLC, if you thirst for more get Repentance. Don't bother with the original except as a curiosity (it runs like garbage anyway due to being made in flash), Rebirth already ported all of its content sans the soundtrack. Repentance is an official port of the Antibirth expansion and pretty much doubles the game content. Antibirth † is a smaller expansion which was more for mod tools and isn't really all that interesting, get it if you want.Isaac is a serious timesink and has literally hundreds of unlocks.

>>733700936There's a bunch of garbage inbetween rebirth and repentance but repentance stuff definitely makes it worth it.But if you already have Rebirth just play that, and skip to repentance once you want more.Also if you're getting repentance try to find the latest version, they fixed the bloat situation a lot with later Repentance updates (through more stat upgrade drops and buffs to shittier items).
