Xbox had avatars but apparently they are discontinued due to low engagement. Nintendo still does it, should Sony and Steam do something similar? Also Miis gave me an armpit fetish.
>>733702284Unfortunately, for everyone other than Nintendo, they're just character creators without actual games behind them to play them in. Also that animation turned me onto non-penetrative sex in general.
the problem with that concept is that it creates the idea that the players aren't going to be completely faceless text strings on a screen you get shuffled into a match with and never see again once its overits antithetical to everything modern game design is working towards to keep players isolated from each other as much as possible so that their enjoyment can be focused on the skinner box that makes them moneynintendo still does it because they still at least feign wanting to create a nurturing environment for their customers as the nice guy company of the big three and it contributes to the cute aesthetic they've characterized for themselvessteam doesn't really need to do it because its not a gimped consolecuck platform so you can just use whatever profile picture you want that's passably SFW but they've dipped their toes in enough where its profitable with the avatar frames and profile cosmeticsin a better timeline where things didn't nosedive into gay kike corporatism so hard in 07 we'd probably have more of the little player avatars running around even if its saddled with microtransactions
