You're tasked with creating a game about the 1990s Yugoslav wars. How would you go about it? I would make it an FPS where you play a different force for every few missions (Serb, Bosnian, Croatian, KLA, NATO).
Isn't CnC 1 basically just this?

>>733703254>How would you go about it?I would personally portray most events in the "former" Soviet Union in the most ahistorical manner possible, since i see most events that occurred in the balkans from the mid to late 80s edging into 90s to be staged provocations called democratic revolutions. So it only naturally follows that most of these events that spiraled into conflicts were also wrongfully portrayed as real conflicts or national struggles. But that's why i would i should not be tasked with making such a game and the historians would call me a conspiracy theorist.

>>733703254I once watched one of those hour(s) long youtube documentaries about the Balkan Wars that seemed pretty well researched and comprehensive, but once I finished it and went to the comments a bunch of people were ripping into it for missing supposedly really important events or saying the reasons for certain things happening as said in the video weren't actually the real reasons they happened and debating eachother.Seems like a bit of a clusterfuck that if you made a game about any one side it's going to piss someone else off. So the best kind of game for it would be a Mercenaries style game where you say fuck getting personally invested or involved in one single group and just take contracts from whoever pays you.
