Marvel has noticably upped MvC merch in the meantime. I hate how the community and fgc in general are so opposed to updates for classics. MvC2 is one of those games that would greatly benefit from some touch-ups. So many characters are close to being able to kinda fight the godtiers and slightly bringing down nonsense like sent's health would be a good thing

I have no doubt that if capcom just dropped Super MvC2 there might be some pushback(there always is) but unless it was a horrific downgrade people would probably play it. Same with 3S, if there was a patch that made the bottom tiers less awful but didn't nerf the top tiers it would probably be accepted reasonably quickly.
