If you only have one standard controller that needs to be used for all games, you limit the creativity of developers.If, on the other hand, each developer can make their own controller (as was the case with some arcade games), then you have total creativity.That's why arcades offer so much more variety than consoles, such as that game where the gameplay consists of aiming a sniper rifle while looking through its scope, while the screen shows the panoramic image.
