>They made fun of us, when marketing Witcher 2
>Riled up misogynism and rallying "gamers"
>Developers are supposed to lift each other up, not take potshots at each other!
Is he wrong?
>>
Too based to be real, CD would never do one of these things.

4th gen was arguably when game devs gave a shit the most, and that was when shit flinging between Nintendo and Sega was at its height. BioWare needed to be poked fun at anyway, their games have recurring flaws that never left yet they pretend they don’t exist.

Mark Darrah is a butthurt boomer, that was mad everyone made fun of his dogshit team, from DA2 and on.
>>
>>733712635
Retarded maggot Canadian shitsmear runs his mouth. Nothing new under the sun.
>>
Dragon Age 2 was bad shovelware and turned a previously straight mage dude who just wanted to be left alone into a fully gay terrorist going around blowing up Chantries. God what a terrible game. Terrible games ever since.
>>
>>733712635
Like all those potshots that they took at role-playing games made in Japan?
>>
>>733715875
As bad as DA2, it was Inquisition that really buried the franchise.

>>733717458
They weren't entirely wrong about that.
>>
>>733712635
Goes to show even when you sellout completely and become a faggot, the other faggots will still try to tear you down. No winning with these rapists.
>>
>>733712635
Its called banter. Americans and Canadians don’t understand it.
>>
If he mentions it only 15 years after the fact then it was never a big deal.

>Riled up misogynism and rallying "gamers"
when did shaming became the go to marketing strategy for AAA studios?

He doesn't need to be mad anymore. CDPR is now substanitally gayer and more retarded than Bioware was at that time.
>>
>>733717635
I never did the Anders quest, which is getting the parts to make a fantasy bomb. At the end of the game he still does a fantasy terrorism. I applaud bioware for not having a middle option but they did it in the most retarded way possible.

Mass Effect 1 and DA:O are the last good times i had with Bioware. Too bad they were canadian and got bought out by EA, they never had a chance.

Witcher 2 vs Dragon Age 2 was some brutal mogging.
>>
>>733712635
What's the source for this? An article? A video?

Anyway, Witcher 1 used Bioware's engine, so on some level the two companies are connected, at least in those early days, so it could be justified to feel a little betrayed depending on the context, which is entirely lacking in your post.

No way, Witcher 4 looks to be about as gay and girlpower filled as DA2 was.

Mark Darrah's youtube channel.
The amount of butthurt this man displays for the world to see on his channel, over the fact that nobody respected DA as a franchise since DA2, is just *chef's kiss*

>CDPR is a successful game company even after Cyberpunk launched to near catastrophic levels of reputation destruction
>Bioware tarnished their name over and over to the point nobody expects a good game out of them anymore
CDPR was right to take potshots.

>/ecelebs/
Former Bioware developer and producer in games like Dragon Age: Origins, Neverwinter Nights, Jade Empire, Mass Effect and Baldur's Gate. He's more than an eceleb.

There is a difference between a bad launch and sticking with a game to the point that it's good. Bioware's games, since DA2 were rotten to the core, and no amount of work could fix them. For 14 years, till the release of Veilguard, at least. At some point, long past due in my opinion, good will runs dry.

Either learn to laugh at yourself or make better games.

How did they make fun of BioWare in Witcher 2?
I remember them making fun of Assassin's Creed in the intro, but not BioWare
im sure Kojima and Cliffy B are still annoyed at Dice for making fun of their franchises in their ads for Battlefield Bad Company, just seems petty to hold a grudge this long

>First, we don't have a generic fantasy world. I mean [the author] Andrzej Sapkowski spent a huge part of his life doing this. It's comfortable for us. It's consistent, it's really working. Everything is kind of logical in this world, and it works out well for us. The other thing--I don't really think it is possible to distinguish some of the things you're choosing between as 'good or bad' or 'good and evil.' We always like to think about when you have a choice in The Witcher, it's more like what I would actually do.

>It's not black and white, and that's the most important thing. And we look better. I mean, sorry, seriously--I love Bethesda, BioWare games, I play them. But, c'mon. You cannot be indifferent to that, you cannot omit the difference. We simply look better."

>I really enjoyed Dragon Age: Origins. The second installment had great marketing, but in reality the game really disappointed me. I felt like someone deceived me and sold me the game's alpha version. That won't happed with us. We won't release an imperfect game just because marketing is pushing us to do so.

So it was purely in interviews and marketing then?
How petty of the BioWare dev
