How long until Xbox is spun off as an independent games company? It obviously doesn't fit Microsoft's AI driven everything approach
>>733717685>It obviously doesn't fit Microsoft's AI driven everything approachDidn't stop them for windowsTrying to put something in everything doesn't work if there's things you don't have access too either.
>>733717685>independetreallistically speaking, only tencent or saudi arabia could buy the xbox brand, and i dont things would improve in any of those cases.I just want Nintendo to buy back the Rare ip's, i don't give a fuck for the rest their slop
>>733718027I don't even care about the Rare IPs anymore, the creative environment that made them is so dead that they aren't worth bringing back. It's like if four new guys came along and claimed to be the Beatles. Who cares?
>>733717685>independent games companyStop using this buzzword. Xbox is born as Microsoft videogames division and selling hardware made by Microsoft itself and it will die as such. If Microsoft doesn't need videogames anymore in their lineup, they will just shut it down.If you want Xbox to be independent you just don't understand shit about how things works in the industry.
>>733720404I wonder if the IPs would sell for anything
>>733721608ABK was supposed to save em, ended them instead doh
>>733721608There's a chance that the studios that are still running will go their own route alongside their IPs even if it's very very unlikely. For old or orphan IPs (that don't have a an active development team behind) i suspect they will surely be forever tied to Microsoft and couldn't be touched unless some other company is interested in those IPs and is willing to buy the rights form Microsoft assuming they will be open to sell them.
