Best thing about PSO(and Universe) was that it offered offline and offline coop gameplay. Fuck sega eternally for dropping that with 2.

I'm not entirely sure. I wanted to play PSO2 back when it was JP onry, but I don't know JP so I just waited. By the time it was in English or has a fan translation or something, it was already fucked. Now it's a tranny dressup ERP simulator chatroom I've heard.

No, pso2 was at some point the biggest sega cashcow, i think it was around episode 4. NGS however killed and buried the IP.
