which genre would be best suited for a dark crystal game?
I've never watched it, to my shame, but it always reminded me of Oddworld I imagine it would be more Zelda-like action-adventure rather than a cinematic platformer though
>>733730374idk but a roleplaying game where you are a gelfling gearing up to face the garthims would be cool
>>733730374>would bebut it exists, anon
>>733731170is it any good?>>733731079you should, also watch the series first if you have netflix, the missing second season is a shame but it gives you enough background info on the movie
Open world slop>do quests for different factions, including skeksis>final act you choose a side>total gelfling death or total skeksis death depends on how you finished the quests
>>733731079you can literally find it for free on youtubehttps://youtu.be/T8Y9Nitf6aQ
I went to my local grocery store during Halloween last year and they had a music playlist going. They played the intro monolog for the dark crystal over the intercom. It was unexpected.

>>733730374point and click adventure featuring fmv interactions
90s point and click adventure
>>733730374a deck building racing roguelite obviously
>>733731978Yeah some kind of atmospheric point and click adventure game is the only answer OP

Kira is best girl, actually.
can't go wrong with the Dark Crystal and it's derivatives.no reason to muddle a hypothetical game up by having it be anything other than a mostly linear non open world action adventure game.
RTS
>>733731079The movie is worth watching for nice atmosphere and excellent puppetry, it's fairly thin on story but memorable, the TV series prequel is well worth watching, again excellent puppetry but also has engaging characters and is a lot more fleshed out. It's a damn shame we didn't get a season 2.
>>733732572
>>733730374>TFW Runescape originally had Skesis but they replaced them all with basic bitch lizard humanoids.incredible downgrade.
>>733738562
The TV show was the best thing Netflix ever made.
>>733730374HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
>>733739625sure but I really got annoyed with the whole YA forest clan, rock clan, city clan angle of the gelfling world building.that wasn't there in the first movie nor the 3 part comic covering the past 1000 years
>>733740462>that wasn't there in the first movieWell no shit, in the first movie the gelfings were almost extinct
>>733739625Yes, with the exception of Deet's 2 gay dads.
>>733739625the scenes with the hunter shifting between a shuffling puppet and doing the CGI predator style jumping between trees was hilariousFUCK netflix for cancelling it
>>733735218Still sad this series never got an awful movie adaptation
>>733740793Rian getting punted like a football is the right mix of funny and cool
>>733740793SkekMal was the coolest motherfucker the series could ask for. The whole idea that Skeksis have 4 arms is only in one small scene when The Chamberlain is stripped in the original. So when he pulls a general grievous and starts quad wielding it was basically a "bet you fucking forgot!" moment. It was also cool that you basically saw what a healthy, in-shape Skeksis looked like.
>>733731079Oddworld, The Dark Crystal, and the OT Star Wars are the biggest influences on Morrowind.

Man I wish we had a season 2.

>>733742131I love how the Heretic get so annoyed with his other self, really shows that down to their fundamentals the divided halves are the UrSkeks repel each other like a magnetism.

>>733731079the two biggest inspirations for the visual aesthetic of morrowind was interestingly enough the dark crystal and oddworld for michael kirkbride

FIZGIG LEMMEDORU
>>733759350Weirdest cliff hanger that I didn't get. My guess is Deet technically lives as an immortal Darkening vessel into the era of the first movie.I thought she going to be the mother of either Jen or Kira.
>not getting a season 2Fuck netflix
>skeksis
>>733759350Deet is neat
>canceled this amazing show>never managed to make a single good show ever againserves them right
I wonder if they casted her because her plastic unmoving face looks exactly like the puppets she was supposed to dub.
>>733762838Are you braindead?
>>733741892So you're saying... there's a chance?
Did a drawing of a Skeksis like 10 years ago when I tried learning to draw. From memory though, so I mostly made up the details.

>>733740793tbf that was the most expensive show Netflix produced and barely anyone watched it
>>733766709skekLul the Fun-Master
>>733766753That's the Chamberlain, he's pretty muh the main Skeksis in the movie and the show. He's a real dirtbag. But you kind of root for him anyway.
>>733766709>Good morning, son.
>>733766829the chamberain has some good looking clothes but skekso and skekmal are on point with their outfits
>>733766881Yeah the Hunter was rad
