I remember wanting to ng+++ the game to give greatsword another go (used one weapon per playthrough, so I didn't play gs with any of the ng+ perks) and being annoyed that you aren't allowed to start a new cycle after ng++. Guess I could just replay levels individually, but whatever.

Really enjoyed the demo, does it hold up the rest of the way? I know you should keep your demo save because the items in it are exclusive to the demo so when you carry it over you have no way to get them and some of them are better than mid game weapons.

>>733740606Unfortunately no, while the combat is great the level designs are lacking and people are averse to Nioh style loot, also while it was hard as shit when it launched they’ve massively toned down the difficulty as collected data showed that people would rather drop a game than admit they played it on easy, so it did at least prove all the faggots saying souls games should have an easy mode wrong.
I enjoy souls-likes that are more about finding secrets than combat, so this game was a little outside my wheelhouse. Not a terrible entry though

>>733741350I make it a point to create playstyles that allow me to barrel through enemy attacks in these kinds of games. I even have a video of me beating malenia to death while hit trading in ER.It works just fine in Kazhan while using a great sword, you can charge your attack, gain super arnour, hit trade, break their stance and heal up with a potion. No need for party slop, just gotta gear right.
