So, who will win the mid-off?
>>
All I know is that arc raiders have done a no fun allowed-patch just now while introducing two ''new'' recycled OP arcs to fight.
They are not understanding the assignment. Good timing for their upcoming competitor though.

is that bazz

They're barely competing in the sense that Arc is the incumbent and fostered playerbase retention.

Everyone I've talked to that stopped playing Arc has said that the only reason they did is because they couldn't even do PVE anymore from how bad the PVP was getting. One friend saying he just quit the game entirely because there was no point to even trying to do PVE and PVP sucked because everyone was running garbage free kits.

Meanwhile barely anyone even knows about Marathon or they've heard about it and don't care. The few I've talked to that do know have done research and believe it's going to be like the PVP matchmaking in Arc, except with some random PVE players thrown in to farm.

I think you would struggle to find a more diametrically opposed... the word escapes me. Marathon is shaping up to be exactly the opposite of the reason why people kept playing Arc so I don't think it's going to have anywhere near as much staying power. I think it will do decently during the open beta. I think it will do well enough (but not exemplary) during launch. But I think the playerbase is going to accidentally kill the game and Bungie is going to have to rush the introduction of ABMM.

>But I think the playerbase is going to accidentally kill the game and Bungie is going to have to rush the introduction of ABMM.
the matches are pvp on sight. theres no mistake about that. nobody in marathon is trying to "team up". it's a pure pvp experience so abmm would be pointless...everyone is aggressive always.
>>
>>733736990
The good news is that Arc will.
The bad news is that Marathon deserves to be a dark, horror-adjacent single player corridor shooter instead of this gay pink silicone rounded edge office squeeze fidget toy nonsense.
>>
>>733736990
I predict these so called "pvp only" arc players will play it for a bit and ditch it because they really just want to go around killing carebears instead of actually pvping
>>
>>733739427
>actually pvping
You could do that in Marathon 1 2 and Infinity with up to 16 people without gayass extraction bullshit.
>>
>>733738980
that thing is to thin to be bazz
>>
>>733739591
>without gayass extraction bullshit.
i dont understand why redditors seethe at extract shooters. theyre always a general ignorance to when they speak on the genre
>>
>>733739107
The matches are pvp on sight because of the playerbase that's looking at it. Unless me or them (asked friends) are missing something like limited extraction availability, ABMM is going to have an effect and to see otherwise is reductive doomerism.
>>
>>733739591
Yeah I'm sure an obscure 90s Mac shooter was thriving with 16 player matches all around.
>>
>>733739780
say otherwise*
>>
>>733739780
iin 50 hours on the beta i never once had any interaction with an enemy player that wasnt a typical fps pvp experience. that wholesome shit in arc raiders is an anomaly.
>>
>>733739717
>gay ass
A redditor wouldn't criticize something with a homosexual slur, anon.
>>
>>733740421
You don't seem to understand or you actively refuse to. There is going to be "wholesome" people whether you like it or not and the closed beta is not indicative of the players the game will have during open beta and launch. Bungie themselves even wants these players in Marathon.
>>
>>733736990
all sweats will move to marathon and the uncs will stay on arc for pve
>>
>>733740826
This and there's no need to overcomplicate it. It's pretty obvious.
>>
>>733740826
>marathon will be dead a month after launch
what shame
>>
>>733736990
Don’t even play it but seeing arc cuck Bungo so hard out of nowhere is hilarious.
>>
>>733738987
People larp in arc because it looks like a movie and has a Star Wars tier narrative that normies get instantly. Maratroon gives you no reason to stand around on the flat, foggy, boxy maps that are somehow even less impressive looking than halo reach 15 years ago.
>>
Marathon will be very popular with the LGBT hardcore extraction shooter fanbase
>>
>>733738987
>they couldn't even do PVE anymore from how bad the PVP was getting
This is why I quit as well and left me pretty done with any PvEvP game altogether. It's just a worse PvP experience where interacting with more than half the game's content is ringing a Please Murder Me dinner-bell to anyone within a five mile radius that wants to laser you down in sub 2s
>>
>>733739780
ABMM is in the game because it was practically built from the ground up for pve before they tacked on a janky battlefront PvP to get it out the door. Bungie was ordered to make a generic hero shooter with extraction elements for esports faggots and is clearly modelled after tarkov where abmm would be laughable.
>>
>>733740663
Hey shill, focus on volume with cope and seethe posting and not this sad mental gymnastics. they aren’t paying you enough.
>>
>>733738980
there must always be a bazz
>>
Hopefully Arc Raiders so Bungie can finally die.
