I like fantasy but the DND setting and resemblance to booktok shit makes me want to never engage with this shit. I was at a gamer convention the other month and I walked into a panel of the one VA from this game being asked about the bear sex scene. The whole con gave me a bad vibe, im autistic and cringe but it was too much for me.

D&D is a setting agnostic ruleset.
Baldur's Gate is a series of D&D games, yes, but they take place in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting which is mostly Ed Greenwood's barely concealed fetishes stapled together.
other major settings include Greyhawk, Dragonlance, Spelljammer, Eberron, Dark Sun, Mystara, Planescape, Ravenloft... the list could go on.

The game does give that modern very gay vibe in a lot of scenes, my characters was soifacing when the owlbear came up on us, and he was smiling seductively at Gale as he was showing me how to do magic.
