I just finished the base game and decided to save the DLC content for new game plus since by the end of the base game the bosses were getting reeeeaaaally easy

It's pretty good

bloodborne’s adventure aspects are let down a lot by some of the changes from the souls formula, like only being able to change your runes from the workshop.

Not really a side *quest* but if you keep using the key item you get from the previous dungeon you'll end up fighting Amygdala, Ebrietas, Pthemeru higher ups etc with Yharnam at the most bottom floor. The lore implications may reveal/change the way you look at story and how the blood spreads at the first place.

True, but how long has the church use this practice? If we're going the main story alone, it was only recently -- Laurence and co. could be the one that started it. But the fact that the city's name is the same as the (one of) the queen generations ago implies that at least using the blood for 'something' has been actually going on for a long while now even before the church found about it. Considering we can only know the name of this queen in the chalice dungeon, it's a part of the story that can be only known by running it.

And that's only about the city's foundation. If we're also going about the bosses there, the revelations about how long probably has the gods going about is quite significant.

No it is still boring dogshit even at 60 fps. The only reason why it was praised was due to snoys being proud of their exclusive, that's literally it. On ps4/ps5 the visuals are dogshit. The performance is dogshit. It stutters almost everywhere. The gameplay is just on par, not better, than the souls games. And to top it off it didnt even break 10 million sales after 10 years. Snoys just regurgitate what they hear like parrots and they make sure to repeat it for eternity.

Style-wise, yeah but in terms of craftmanship the visuals are often dogshit with low quality textures, messy object placements where even large objects like buildings and bridges clip into eachother, many severe cases of "please don't look down here - we didn't bother with finishing that part" and one has to wonder just why the fuck this shit had such performance issues given what's been presented.
