PS4 had no real identity of its own (aside from Bloodborne) until 2017 because PS3 got every other game that landed on it. We've already seen this happen. Difference with PS4 is that eventually, PS3 got phased out. Sony can't phase out PS4 entirely because PS5 still hasn't outgrown it as a crutch.

Over 11 of them where supposed to come out and basically all of them got cancelled besides Concord and Helldivers 2. There was suppose to be a Last of Us, God of war and Spiderman GaaS game and PC ports of their previous titles where a marketing stratedgy to get buy in from the PC audience. Crossplatform doesn't make sense for them, they don't own Windows like MS and they know making their own exclusive launcher to compete with Steam would flop.
