and now the ship has sailed, I'm not interested in it anymore

Not really, I started hearing about arc raiders pretty organically not too long before it's release date via word of mouth and praises sung by the closed tech test participants. What started out as the occasional murmur slowly built into consistent mentions of it everywhere, and when when I looked into it I saw a pretty interesting and compelling looking game.

With Marathon its been a string of bad press and stories of a shaky development from a studio that has been tanking their reputation for years, followed up by blatant shill pieces and all the while the game just doesn't look very appealing to play. It doesn't even look as visually appealing following that graphical "upgrade" it got.

Arc raiders is 3rd person, marathon is first person exclusively is it not?
Why has bungie made this atrocious marketing decision to target people who arent even playing the same genre? Is it because they know the game is far too casual to steal tarkov players?
