Could Krauser retract his blade arms or was he gonna be stuck looking like this for the rest of his life?
Not a single RE boss has ever put any thought into what they're going to do if they actually won.
>>733757540Was that a plaga mutation or did Wesker give him a virus that can mutate arms at will?
>>733757540It just comes out whenever he wants it to in mercenaries if you consider that canon.
>>733757540He can turn it back to normal in mercenaries.
>>733757540I think it stays forever from what I've seen on separate ways.
>>733757675Plaga mutation. Wesker sent Krauser to infiltrate Los Iluminados and retrieve the Dominant Species Plaga, and he kidnapped Ashley for the cult to gain their trust. Saddler then gave him a sample of the Dominant Species as a reward. Krauser became enamored with the potential the Plaga could bestow and injected it into his own body, giving him superpowers and his blade arm. Wesker then didn't trust that Krauser would actually return the sample and called in Ada to get it instead. Ada took the Dominant Species sample Leon had at gunpoint, but gave Wesker a Subordinate Species Plaga sample instead, giving the Dominant Species sample to her superiors at the "Organization". Wesker eventually realized the deception and retrieved Krauser's corpse, retrieving the Dominant Species sample from Krauser's body himself.
>>733757540It stays that way. That's why he has to be in Mexico because if he gets cold he can't put on a sweater it'll rip up the sleeves :(
>>733758354If you play Darkside Chronicles, this ends up being a side effect of the original virus Krauser got infected with in DS that was kept at bay tanks to wesker, but having an adverse reaction when mixed with Plaga.
>>733757675If I remember right he had a Dominant Strain which can command other Plagas, which is why Wesker got his corpse instead of the Amber as a solid consolation prize. In the OG, Wesker sent him towards Saddler for infiltration and getting the Plagas sample, and Krauser just exploited the opportunity and emerged on top instead of being controlled. But the remake seems to have made Krauser genuinely get dragged into the cult shit himself.
Dimmadork
who cares just think about the POWER anon
>>733757597The scientist ones presumably figured "Hey, I'm smart, I'll be able to figure out a way to turn myself back", as for the meathead soldier guys, yeah.
>>733760660>>733758354Were they going with Parasyte logic that having a plaga in his arm meant he was in control of his body?
>>733762380Dominant Strain Plagas don't take control of your mind and leave you a brainless retard. It's why Wesker wanted one.
>>733757597Wesker was lucky enough that the only side effect he had was the gold/red eyes and then he decides he wants to turn into an ugly tentacle monster
>>733757540In mercenaries mode he can retract it back into his regular arm, but that's probably purely for gameplay and not canon.
>>733762564That doesn't make sense, I thought Saddler and his parasite were one in the same, being essentially that real Saddler is braindead, as he lacks a brain and it's just the parasite, except the parasite replicated and has his mind.
>>733757540the vorgilsaurus guy in RE6 could so maybe
>>733762604>then he decides he wants to turn into an ugly tentacle monsterTo be fair that's the one instance where he actually could probably turn it off after he won.
>>733762887Nah. The Dominant Species Plaga doesn't interfere with the host's neural activity, and the form of mutation it induces is influenced by the host's will at the time. Dominant Species also can't be controlled via ultrasound orders, so Saddler only gave them to those he trusted most.
>>733762887It's only in the remake where the Dominant Strains basically override people. And even there, I think it was basically the Dominant Strain and Saddler feeding into each other in a grotesque schizo feedback loop of religious fanaticism.
>>733762887It's made abundantly clear in 4 and 5 that dominant plagas don't fuck with your mind. That's the whole reason they're useful as bio weapons.
>>733763378>>733763859>>733764414Ok so how does Saddler exist when the parasite takes up nearly his entire body cavity, if the parasite didn't adsorb his mind?
>>733764623Since when have Plagas mutations made biological sense? Ricardo Irving injects himself with a Dominant Species Plaga and immediately induces mutation and he turns into a gigantic squid monster. Where'd the additional biomass come from?
An even better question is how do RE bosses manage to break the laws of physics so casually. Like where did Irving get all that mass when he turned into a sea monster in the span of like 10 seconds?
>>733764781>>733764838Ahahah, talk about synchronicity.
>prototype x resident evil crossover never ever
>>733764781Resident Evil 5 went pretty full retard with that. At least with Saddler you can imagine the plaga is dense soft tissue within Saddler's body cavity taking over for his missing organs, only forming the large hardened spider legs after rapidly exiting the body.
Which BOW would be the strongest in a combat situation?
>>733766715Nemesis can use guns
>>733766805That's not much of an advantage, these niggas from Umbrella Chronicles have quadruple rocket launchers and tactical armor and they still jobbed to handguns
>>733762887I mean the naturally occuring plaga may have taken over but saddler has a whole sci fi research centre so its entirely possible they were genetically engineered to not take overBut also salazar seems to stay in control when he merges with the queen plaga which is interesting
>>733766715Highest kill count in the whole series has to be zombies, maybe the J'avo from 6
>>733765056it's extra funny since they had a big pile of bodies to explain why excella can become such a huge uroboros later.
>>733766715Regenerators are nearly unstoppable, you need a very specific set of equipment to deal with them. They're the ones I don't like to deal with the most.
>>733757540Imagine trying to sleep with that thing
