The issue with Donkey Kong's new design isn't the eyes. It's his tongue. This thing is absolutely vile. Fetishistic, how much he lets it roll around so flagrantly.

Between having his tongue hanging out and having his ass cheeks hanging out in most of his transformations, this version of Donkey Kong looks like a massive pervert. Which is mildly uncomfortable, considering he's around a kid for the entire game.
