Classic Sonic in particular is bad and is close to having the worst stages in the series (that I've played), but I find the rest of the game to start decent-ish and starts to get good near the end. The best part is the OC creator and the OC stages, I wish they did more with that instead of Classic. What this means ultimately is that, like with some other games, I have a good time doing the side objectives after completing the story, ignoring the stages/characters I don't like
