Who here knows how Steam forums work?Sometimes I see people with "banned" written next to their username. When I read the messages, they are often non-aggressive.So Steam bans users just like that?
Yep
>>733761618the game forums are run by the devs and valve lets them run them pretty much however even if it's poor customer service so often people will get banned for reasonable things like asking why company money/resources are going towards retarded things like diversity week/month fake holidays.
>>733761618Steam rarely bans anyone themselves since they leave moderation of the forums to the devs. The banned tag shows up even if you're banned for a day so it might just be temporary. They let devs set their own rules and RARELY overturn bans even if it's something stupid like "arguing". Click the banned persons button next to the name and read the post history. Usually they'll have a post or two flinging personal insults which get them reported for "rude"
>>733761618steam should only be used to play games and nothing else, there's a reason steamcommunity.com and steam's store are two seperate sitesimagine being enough of a retard to entrust your money in a system that could essentially restrict your account on a whim for zero reason and have zero access to those games
>>733762502>and have zero access to those gamesyou still have access to the games if they are DRM-free
>>733761618Forums are run by the devs/publishers.
