TWW's issue is swrodmasters kill zombies as effectively as rangers and everything else more effectively than rangers meaning there's never a circumstance you want rangers.

However, these units are also either t1 or t2 units meaning that they are not going to last forever. You will replace them eventually. Some have specialties at least. Like for dark elves, chaff grinder units are corsairs and bleakswords that eventually get replaced by executioners, but witch elves, who also have a similar role, at least have a madness debuff that allows them to pin down enemy units so you can actually wipe them out.

Everything in this pack aligns with the Lords of Shangyang leak, so the most logical explanation is that this whole pack is just recycled content from the scrapped Shangyang DLC pack. The fact that Neferata was also changed into FLC makes me believe that a proper Neferata pack was too much work for CA, so they instead recycled Shangyang content into a lord pack and moved whatever additions they were going to add with Neferata into the Lords of End Times pack, scrapping whatever other additions that were planned before. I highly doubt any post-LotET content will be anything else except the rest of the Shangyang stuff.
