The litmus test for the state of Nintendo right now are the content creators. I don't know if it's survivorship bias or they're just terrified of Nintendo's heavy handed approach to copyright or whatever, but there's no one who glazes Nintendo like the big youtube channels that focus on Nintendo content. BeatE-mUps, NintendoLife, etc. They just basically never say anything negative at all about any decision that Nintendo have ever made. But even these guys are starting to become disillusioned. Like what is happening? They launched a new console with basically zero games, they made it too difficult for developers to create games for them, and their entire strategy is to do upscales of old games and sell them for $65? Come on now.
Shut up, nerd.

>>733772221I don't care. I love my Switch 2.
>>733773587Yeah and all the games on it such as
>>733772221Nintendo is constantly 5 years behind the rest of the industry and right now that's catching up to them because the industries monetization has changed drastically over the past 5 years. Games are starting to have actual variable pricing, almost everything live service or multiplayer focused is $40~ instead of $70 like Nintendo is charging and lower budget games are starting to have lower price tags unlike something like Pokopia which is $70. Basically all of Nintendo's issues are a repeat of what the industry went through already.>games take too long to develop>lmao why is sony releasing tlou and horizon again>wtf $70!?>you expect me to pay $10 for a graphical update????>wtf pssr makes this game look worse(xcx's patch does this as well)>game key carts>many games getting dlc(and thus not fully on cart and you have games like za costing $100 and dkb $90)
>paying any attention, ever, to "content creators"Underage begone. They are not your friends, they simply say the things they think will make them the most money.
>>733775695Nintendo kinda is trying variable pricing though, the $70 games are, believe it or not, somehow not the full priced games. That would be the $80 ones. It's just that Nintendo's idea of the price of a "budget game" is still fucking insane.
>>733775906I'm not really buying the industry standard being their idea of a variable price. There's still only 1 game that's truly $80(which was sold mostly in bundles for less than $80 anyway), the others are some old game with some patch or dlc added on to make them $80 which is still beyond retarded but it's not quite the same.In my opinion, Bananza should not be the same price as Fever and Pokopia if they were doing actual variable pricing. It's getting silly that some game that costs $100 million to make costs the exact same price as a game that costs magnitudes less to make, Nintendo had the right idea with Pricing MP4 at $60 and MP Remastered at $40. If it wasn't for the existence of Pokopia being on GKC, I'd say that maybe the price of the cartridges was to blame but Game Freak fucks over everyone for love of the game and since GF is attached to Nintendo at the hip, Nintendo reaps the negative sentiment from GF being a bad company. So much negative discourse has come explicitly from GF
>>733776462Keep in mind MP4 is only $60 because it's a Switch 1 game and that's the full price for Switch 1 games. And frankly Nintendo deserves the negative sentiment considering the first time we see a GF game that isn't hamstrung by having to be on a Nintendo console (Beast of Reincarnation) suddenly it looks amazing.
>>733772221>zero gamesso>if there's no mario or if we don't know anything more beyond 6 months beforehand, the console is dead and there's zero games
>>733778681Nintendo has a weird habit of not announcing their games at all until they're like a month away from release these days, which probably throws people off who are used to knowing about games years in advance. Then the game just vanishes from public consciousness afterwards.
>>733773587fucking BASED
>>733772221>They launched a new console with basically zero gamesWhy you talking about PS5?
>>733775695Nintendo games don't have assets that match what you saw from 8th gen titles, there really is no logic behind their games now taking longer to develop when their focus so far has been on higher resolutions and framerates as well as large scopes and interaction than games targeting comparable but still less powerful hardware.DK and Mario Kart were clearly more of an issue of Nintendo just letting those games take all the time they needed, and that's more likely the case with what's in development.Maybe everything else in development is trying to be PS4 exclusive quality, in which case why? Mario only needs a little bit more detail than what we've seen from Mario Tennis and Mario Kart World and he's basically maxed out.
>>733780219That too, but the S2 also has no games.
>>733781886Oh really?
>>733772221$20 gen 3 pokemon games digital only should at least be giving the dick riders pause.
>>733772221Funniest thing is when the Switch 2 fails, they are literally doomed. There is no separate handheld line anymore that will save them.
>>733785117Nothing gives the dick riders pause. If anything it's the opposite. They ride the dick even faster as nintendo screws them harder and they feel forced to defend their decision for hopping on that dick in the first place.
