They keep hiring writters who think world building and story telling = walls of texts and wikipedia like explanations from every npc you talk to because they dont know how to tell you about the world they are creating otherwise and when you look back at the games they have succeded with its writting, you noticed that all of them are based on IP made from someone else, with a world already created for obsidian to work on.
