Oh yeah, that happened!
>>733776062it was unironically kinot. game pass GOD
it was fun for a little while. way better than zoomer trash like Arc Riders
>>733776062It never made sense to me how Capcom fumbled this. How hard was it to make a game about shooting dinosaurs?
>Dinosaurs? Capcom? Oh shit, Dino Cri->Oh. Never mind. And that was the beginning, middle and end of that.
>>733776062I still play it. Shit's simply fun. Was my goty on release, easily. A reminder to please kill these annoying shits as soon as they spawn.
>>733776259the gameplay itself was goodthe problem was the experimental pvpve mode and the fact it wasn't free to play
As a Dino Crisis fan I loved this
>>733776417I would argue it was more the very roundabout progression more than the pvpve The game has a lot of levels, dinos, and events, but you have to grind the story for a while to get to the real meat. But also it would probably make a lot of people happy if they just added a mode that didn't have the race aspect to it, straight up dino horde blasting.
>>733776882>but you have to grind the story for a while to get to the real meat.It opens up a decent pace, but the lobby's mission selection is dictated by the player with the lowest progression. So for the first few days, you would just be playing the first mission over and over because new players were hopping on through Gamepass. The only time you were guaranteed a break was when the matchmaking formed a lobby around you for a specific mission or boss fight for story progression. Or if you were on Steam, you could disable crossplay and mostly play with bots. They were really both major problems: the PvEvP made a lot of people lose interest -- especially after the beta -- and the retarded progression systems made people think there were fuckall stages in the game.
>>733776259I dunno if it counts as a fumble, it was always just a lark of a game? Trying stuff and seeing if it sticks I guess.
i was interested in it until i learned its pvp
>>733776062I thought it was really fun. Suffered from a lot of randos being functionally braindead and it's weird weighting of missions towards newby ones. But the gameplay was fun and all the classes were pretty unique. It was just sort of doomed between being really niche and zero good marketing and support.
