2 is probably the better game but I always liked 3 more.

The games up through 3 are great. 4 is good. 5 has good gameplay but lacks in everything else imo. 6 is good but not as good gameplay as 5. BD is a watered down version of 4. Legends is okay.
My favorite entry (and in my top 10 favorite games of all time) is SC3.
