what games have peak physics simulation on the player character? does this sort of thing help or harm gameplay?
I personally think an overt focus on physics (as in, having all parts of the character model having individual colission etc.) usually makes for funny games, but not for good gameplay. Good gameplay, in my opinion, has to be deliberately designed to fit the game's mechanics. "Physics sims" tend to be focused on chasing realism rather than designing mechanics from sketch to fit their gameplay idea.Let's try to put it this way: games are ultimately sets of rules. The game designer tweaks these rules to finetune the game he wants."Physics sims" just try to (badly) copy rules of reality, and reality isn't really a game.
I think they should add battle pass and other live service bullsht to the PEAK. Das rite.
