I also started playing for the first time recently and its pure comfy. I went RDM -> SMN, but being a SMN felt slow and clunky so I switched to BST. Skillchaining with my pets all day long.

I'm "only" level 75 and it got way more interesting after I figured out how skillchains work and how I can make use of them with my pets (as RDM you could probably magicburst as well) , but overall its still pretty slow. Though thats whats comfy about the game

Are you using a texture mod? I don't remember armor looking that good. Same for me though, I went WAR and had a lot of fun with the greataxe weapon skill quest, it basically forced me to learn how to skillchain.

I don't think I installed anything special for textures. Just made sure to crank up both FF11 config and Windower settings
