I liked when 3D platformers were more about collecting, puzzle solving and exploration rather than being all about speedrunning the levels with acrobatics.
>>733789579I have no idea if you're in the minority or not.Games like Mario Odyssey that managed to appeal to both crowds are probably the best for general audiences but nobody cares about indie 3D platformers unless they're speedrunner friendly.
>>733789579Mario 64 is still the best acrobatics game. Embarassing for thr industry, and nintendo
>>733790246I'm probably on the minority, whenever I see 3D Platformer discussion I usually see that more people like the games with focus on momentum, acrobatics, precise platforming and fast paced action over a more slow, exploration-focused experience.I can enjoy those too (I did like Poi and Pseudoregalia for example) but I'm more of a fan of the exploration and collecting aspect of these games (like in Banjo-Kazooie, Spyro or similar games).
>>733791489Corn kidz 64, Demon tides is a bit explorey but not particularly difficult.
Well good thing there's million collecthathong games released every year.Personally don't care much for those because there's usually not much platforming in your 3d platformer. It's usually more like here's 3d sandbox, now run around it like stupido until you manage to spot all the thinga mingas we hide there.
>>733789579There are zero (0) modern 3D platformers that are "all about speedrunning acrobatics"You're swinging at ghosts, retard.
