The only two things that ever matter in valuing a game are gameplay mechanics and optimization. That is why Tetris is an inherently superior game to the Last of Us. The Last of Us only cares about telling a story with some slapped-on gameplay mechanics. Tetris wants to give you a good game experience. Any game that cares more about anything else but a gameplay is the same experience as playing Monopoly in a theater, and after finishing a game, you get to see the next scene in a play.
