I am shocked to see a lot of negative sentiment for this game. This is the definitive Kanto game, and yet you see people hating on it, because for some reason they want to get into battles with the wild Pokemon. That was the worst part about old Pokemon games, it spawned that Too Much Water shit from IGN. So does the majority of people really want to go back to random encounters in tall grass shit? There's so much effort put into LGPE games, it puts nearly all the mainline entries to shame. Nuts.

It has the least amount of Pokemon out of a mainline since Gen 1 and barely any new content was added compared to FRLG. It's the most consistent good looking game out of the Switch Pokemon titles, but a lot of the cutscenes constantly cut corners with fade to black or text describing what's happening to avoid animating the characters doing anything besides stock motions. At least the following and ride Pokemon feature was well done.
