Time to apologise

Quintessential puddle-deep game with updates just piling on more secondary and tertiary mechanics while not fixing the main issues with the game. Latest patch added a literal mini game where you pick up trash boxes and drive them to your base. What for? More credits I guess, but why would you need them when your freighter is filled with items you can't sell because you're over cap anyways?

10 GORILLION PLANETS

I played like an hour of No Mans Sky and it was boring shite. I dont get how people talk about how it was "saved". It was still walking around collecting minerals so I refunded that shit

>DUDE IT GETS GOOD 500 HOURS IN!
Nah
>>
>>733803841
At least now they've learned their lesson and are going to make only ONE planet in Light No Fire
>>
>>733802350
Yeah, he owes me an apology, so he added Corvettes to the game.
>>
>>733802350
these types of games appeal to a uniquely unimaginative and spiritually-deficient type of person. they stare into the abyss of meaningless algorithmic "stuff" and it's like a mirror of their soul, surely if a game lets them fly across the freaking galaxy and build a SPACE BASE on a REMOTE PLANET their life can't be completely pointless....

>It was still walking around collecting minerals
Arguably automated farms make it pretty easy to just have most resources generated, also they work when you're not playing as well so you can just make a bunch of supply depots and get full inventory of whatever couple days later. I guess this allows you to do more fun things like... uhhhh... combat? building?
>>
>>733802350
You don't get an apology for half-delivering on promises you made a decade ago.

Video games allow us to fulfill our wildest dreams like OWNING A HOME

i've tried it multiple times, i just don't like survival craft garbage
I always end up dropping it after about 5 hours
>>

It's just a video game bro go outside damn
>>
Murray the barefoot bandit literally lied abløout multiplayer functionality AFTER the game released. Which is insane for multiple reasons, chiefly that people who digged into the files saw that NMS had literally no multiplayer architecture in its code. It's not like it was a feature they half-attempted to implement and had to stop to make a release date, they never even attempted to code it, ever.

I cannot in good faith support this level of retard jewery.

Is that how you view nature? I can't imagine someone more soulless than you.

Sean: it's soooooo improbable for two players to meet
Literally on the first day two players discovered that they are like 2 systems away from each other so they went onto the same planet and stood in the same spot ON STREAM not seeing each other
absolute cinema
>>
Despite all the systems they tacked on, the game remains an extremely shallow and boring sandbox.

Imagine if a 10th of the effort they spent on space garbage trucking activities were spent making the combat not complete shit.
>>
>>733805356
>making the combat not complete shit
How would (You) improve it?
>>
>>733802350
He should send Internet Historian a fruit basket or something for single-handedly saving his reputation.
>>
>>733802350
>10 years on
>still lacks basic accessibility features like swapping yaw and roll controls
>>
>>733805473
Make shooting more responsive, better feedback when hitting things, more enemies that aren't gay robots. Make weapons their own thing instead of multitool mods even though it'll never happen. You could improve it in every single way, really.
>>
>>733805574
Why would you lie so blatantly? They're in the game retard
>>
Game is still dogshit.
>>
gamers defending this shit and cyberpunk was the final nail in the coffin, they should have both been a massive flop to discourage companies from releasing outright broken videogames
>>
>>733805752
>more enemies that aren't gay robots
well arguably they added the giant worms but they're not really that different
>make weapons their own thing
I don't see how it would improve the game desu. You can have separate multitools for separate weapons and quick-switch them with number keys. Personally I have a mining + scanning tool and warfare tool and my only gripe is that I can't delete mining laser from my warfare tool.
>>
>>733805774
It's not, at least not on kb+m.
You can rebind the roll keys from A/D to other keys but you can't move roll to the mouse and put yaw on A/D.
>>
I recently got NMS and I am about 10 hours into it. Kinda fun game. I wish there were some extremely hostile planets you could find (I mean, idk is there?). If I could combine Helldivers 2 with a space exploration game, and just make it an RPG on top of it, I'd have the perfect game.
>>
>>733808492
>extremely hostile planets you could find
eh, not really, there are planets with harsher conditions but it's all pretty easily negated with exosuit upgrades
>>
>>733802350
There's nothing to apologize for. Releasing the game in the state it was in was wrong, and while you can praise him for what happened later on, it doesn't invalidate the criticism.
>>
>>733802350
>lie
>lie a lot
>promise a bunch of shit you know you won't deliver
>release game
>20% of the promised stuff is in there
>patch in another 30%
>people praise you
I should lie more. It clearly works.
>>
>>733802350
I don't think you understand how apologies work. He's the one doing the apologizing. I forgive him.
>>
>>733802350

the problem is that so many better survival games have come out since then - subnautica, valheim, etc.. No mans sky desperately needs special spawn dungeons or something like that to hunt for on special planets that are rare - a reason to keep exploring, but once you've seen 10 star systems you've seen them all
>>
Never. This guy LITERALLY said it was a multiplayer game all the way up until weeks before it launched when it was a single player game. Calling a single player game a multiplayer game before people buy it has got to be the absolute most blatant and flagrant false advertisement I've ever seen in my life and I have no idea how he got away with it. He literally said "this game is multiplayer" when selling a single player game. That is black and white FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. not "over promising" not "exaggerating" that is just straight false advertisement and he should have been sued for it and no amount of patches will ever take back blatantly false advertising a game you were selling.

It's about fucking time, this faggot promised a good game and STILL hasn't delivered!
>>

>Light No Fire
What's all this then?
