She truly sucks and the stuttering is entirely too forced. Like virtually everyone playing this the plan is to shoot for infinite ammo immediately in order to make her sections tolerable. Running away from everything isn't my idea of survival horror. I don't play these games to be scared I play them for the power fantasy of plowing through a bunch of undead biological mutants and somehow never being bitten or seriously injured and winning everything. Resident Evil isn't scary unless you play slow and with poor lighting.

Sorry but this is RE now and it's better for it.
It was always like this, because you played as Rebecca for 8 minutes in RE1 and that was kind of the same thing.
The 30 second cutscenes you could skip in those games are the same as these 5-10 minute long walking segments.
You're wrong and the old games are bad and the new game is good.
Human enemies were -always- part of the resident evil.
