>>734166945There is no "trick". Roots is the hardest biome in the game because it was the last one they added so they threw every single hazard already in the game into one single biome. It's a biome that forces you to rush, but also punishes you for doing so. My advice is to always carry cooked milk in your inventory and to be ready to use it as soon as you get grabbed by a spider or the wind pushes you off a ledge. The other anon is right in that you can usually skip a lot of the biome thanks to clipping through the trees, but as a newbie you'll probably fall to your death a lot attempting so. Getting a feel for when the wind is going to start blowing is an important part of that biome.
