When I played the new GOW games, whenever the game told storiies about Kratos wife I always had a feeling that they wanted her to be a Vergil/Zero-like character. For example, she made Thor drunk and fought him to a draw. She fought Kratos and didn't lose badly. She fought giants, etc. Clearly, she was written as a powerful character, almost the same level as Kratos. Now that they're making a new game with her, all of that makes sense.
