I've only done it 3 times intentionally, all in Sword. Got a shiny gastly and duskull in the same area, and the third one i got was registeel. I've found dozens more but I wasn't actually looking for any of them.
I tried for a bit with HGSS's starters since if I remember right those are the games where it actually generates the stats for all 3 starters on the preview screen so you can check if any of the 3 are going to be shiny. I only reset for maybe like an hour before deciding that shiny hunting was incredibly deranged and gay.Between all the guaranteed shiny mechanics, the shiny lock mechanics, and just fucking hacking them in I seriously have no idea why people care about these so much, they're worthless and most of them don't even look cool.

Pokemon Z-A makes it super easy to get a shiny. It is also the only game where I naturally found a shiny(no shiny charm), and I have been playing Pokemon since Red came out. I did find a shiny Shinx in Platinum, but that used the encounter chaining thing so I don't count it as a natural find.
ZA is by far the easiest shiny hunt game. It was funny seeing people throw fits over how easy it was because they wasted so much time hunting the "legit way". I have like 5+ shiny just playing the game.
