Why would "Eggman Neo" need to secure a future he already exists in? What's endangering it? If anything, sending Metal Sonic back with Amy following is the only thing that actually endangers his own existence.Also why would they bring Carrey back only to have him play an Eggman descendant? They'd just have him be the same Eggman he's already been depicting for the three movies now, like what was intended in the original cliffhanger ending.
