Is it just me or do bullets feel like they have no impact in this game? Sure, you could argue werewolves have better durability yadda yadda but still..
It just doesn't feel right and makes you feel weak and unsatisfying.

Have you played RE7? It's 600 times worse in that game. The regular mold enemies take like 7 headshots to die. In RE8 I wanna say the normal zombies/lycans/whatever take like 3? The game balances it better by making the enemies faster and harder to hit, but I never felt that the gunshots did too little damage.

Yeah enemies don't even flinch when you shoot them

I have not and will not especially since you made me aware of that but im also a bitch when it comes to horror games. No idea how I made it through re2make and dead space

It’s just you.

Ethan does feel pretty weak, but I think it contributed to this game having a good hard mode. I felt like I really had to prepare for any given encounter and use everything at my disposal.
