This series is all sorts of fucked up when it comes to the numbering now. RE games before 7 feel so radically different from the games 7 and after. There's a generation of people who played this series in this order: 7, 2R, 8, 4R, 9. Wesker's the iconic series villain but he hasn't even been introduced as far as the new generation of fans go. But then what is Capcom supposed to do, remake 1 again?
