It's absolute cock and balls torture unless you play sorc/warlock, it's like they thought "well we need to make it harder to account for the new sunders being ridiculously overpowered". A lot of the changes made since D2R try to sculpt D2 into what later ARPGs are (namely PoE). New runewords and items are hyper focused on one class or one build, providing every stat you want with nothing out of the ordinary to encourage experimenting. Runewords themselves are frequently best in slot options with no thought to consider. Most of the rough edges of original D2 have been sanded away, and you're encouraged to go even further into the zoomzoom grind mindset. Which is ironic considering what D2 is best known for is endless baal runs, but eh. That said, there are so many QoL changes that going back to the original is very jarring. You don't have quick cast so to cast a skill you need to use a hotkey to change your left/right click button and use those. Your stash might as well not exist. Mana pots weren't sold from vendors so a lot of builds were primarily about basic attacks, with spells being used to break through tough encounters. The game had more...weight? When you weren't effortlessly clearing everything instantly. That said, if you're expecting something like modern PoE, then just play current D2R, it's by no means bad, as far as a remastering it's a solid 9/10 (albeit some Warlock stuff is stupid, and Mosaic was retarded). If you're looking for the historical context of original D2, then you can play a run through the original game.

I have seen streamers (not just that llama fag) that not being able to farm sunders solo efficiently is a good thing because it brings the community together and stop the game from becoming Diablo 4. I don't hate streamers enough.

They wanted to avoid the situation from older versions where you get 2-3 sunders every time you run a TZ and start getting annoyed at all the unique charms dropping all the time, just way overshoot it. The easiest way would be to increase your chance for sunder drop with every killed herald, so it becomes almost a guarantee if you are running 3-5 full acts in a row. Then reset the chance on drop.Warlock should be fine once they fix Echoing Strike. It adds attack rating, but doesn't actually make a hit check, so that's obviously broken. Damage calculations are also fucked up giving it way more damage than it should have. They know what's up so just fix it now.Everyone was freaking out about Blood Oath giving way too much damage transfer, but apparently it doesn't benefit from soft points, so it's capped around 43% or something when you put 20 points into it. Sounds good to me, instead of allowing it to use +skills from items for the transfer, just fix the tooltip and make it hard poitns only.Bind Demon, I guess you could make Curse and auras only like 20% as effective on your demon? Simple solution where you still gain something, but it's no longer so ridiculously broken.Other skills are mostly fine - magic spells are just fine and barely anyone runs them, fire is still cockblocked by immunities for the most part and by the time you get it to run other classes catch up, other melee skills are ok, pure summoner isn't anything special.
