>marathon top #3 seller on PSN store passing Crimson Desert
>top #2 on Steam
HOW DO WE STOP THOSE BUNGIE WOKEFAGS FROM RUINING GAMES, WHY ARE PEOPLE SUCH CATTLE TO BUY THIS KIND OF GAMES
>>
>Arc Raiders roll gameplay enjoyer upset when games with skill exist
lmao. My favorite part is how "woke" Arc Raiders is itself. All the females and negros and shit. Reminder your favorite game never came close to Dota 2 player count or CS2 player count. Cope.

Marathon is a blast, a true return to form by Bungie.
They managed to capture a lightning in a bottle.
>>
Bro its complaining about woke which using steam when literally every single valve employee voted democrat and not a single voted anything else
>>
>>734207757
would make sense that steam is rigging the top sellers to push woke propaganda

Actually all it means is that there hasn't been a new fotm friendslop game in a while.

I bought the deluxe version on Steam. I’m so amped up, I feel like I’m investing in a shitcoin, sure the game is fun but the stakes are so high. It could be defunct in a matter of months! I might lose everything! My $60, gone, poof. But that’s part of the thrill of Marathon.

Do wrestlingfags really?

Who the fuck is buying this shit?
>>
It seems to be doing a lot better on Steam. On psn it's actually 21st overall, getting beaten by stuff like Reanimal, that little nightmares game that came out over two weeks ago.
>>
>>734210712
/v/ doesn't want you to know this, but most PS players buy a PS to play sportsball games.
>>
>>734207351
Normies don't check the reviews before they consoom. That is why they are normies.
Marathon isn't a game for normies, they will refund en mass when it launches lol just like how 50% instantly dropped the free demo. The game itself gives a dog shit first impression and that's all normal fags care about
>>
>>734207351

those ratings are all relative to each other - if no one is buying anything then 10k purchases seems like a giant upward swing
>>
>>734210871
It's third on the list
>>
>>734207351
Marathon won and mentally ill schizo posters are going to have to come to terms with that
>>
>>734207351
im more concerned about the people dropping $200 on a WWE preorder
>>
>>734207351
That's not best sellers. You're on pre orders. It's like number 15-20 on ps

>>734210889
That's all systems. Even the switch 2 is starting to become a niggerball system. Western audiences keep buying that shit
>>
>>734210930
Of preorders, but there's nothing else coming out soon to preorder. Crimson Desert is 24th overall, but its release is further out so we'll see how high it gets 2 days before release like Marathon is now.
>>
>>734211467
>It's like number 15-20 on ps
Care to show an image of that?
>>
>>734211484
You say it's 21st but there's no evidence of that
>>
>>734211135
It's maddening. I went to gamestop to pick up my copy of requiem and saw like three guys in front of me pre ordering the wwe game. 2 ps and 1 switch from what I remember
>>
>>734211484
Plus the standard and deluxe edition are counted seperately

It's number 19
>>
>>734211601
It's insane how popular wrestling still is like you might as well say you're into power rangers. I never got into it as a kid because I thought it was too gay and not cool at all like grow men going grrr at each other and doing stank face are you five ?
>>
>>734207351
why are people preordering digital games? it's one thing to "pre-order" 30 mins before release so you can preload on a midnight drop or whatever, but why exactly would you spend money on a game days, weeks, sometimes even MONTHS in advance of being able to play the game? it's not like there is a limited supply
>>
>>734211858
It's also not like you can even launch the game on the day because they never work lol
>>
>>734211858
Yeah I don't judge or care what people like. Its just crazy to me that all some people buy is sports games. No matter the platform this plauges the western game industry

Anon, I don't think you understand how this top sellers chart works. Here's some helpful tips:
>it's a rolling average of the last 24 hours, and the spots are determined relative to one another
>this means if you have four games, where two sell 1m copies each and two sell 10k copies each, all four will appear in the top sellers list where everything else sells less than 10k
>RE9 being #1 consistently more or less means it's the only real, major new game out right now
>that Marathon is fighting for 3rd and 4th (it's 3rd on the global sellers list, btw) with CS2, PUBG, and Apex is a bad sign, because those games are fucking old and have minor sales

Add to this the fact that Bungie hasn't bragged about any kind of sales figures and you can assume it's sold less than 1m units, easy.

And other anons have pointed out it's getting shit on in ratings on the PSN and console stores.

And the grim reaper of upcoming flops has also given it a kiss of death.

>i-it's a top seller
Re-read my post, you retard. A game could be a 'top seller' moving 90% less units than the game one spot higher than it on the chart.
>this game will die on release
It very well could. Veilguard did and was #1 on the top seller list for more than a week before it launched, and Marathon barely crawled into the top 5 a week before it launched.

The only way Marathon can be a success is if you choose to ignore data you find inconvenient or distasteful.

>The only way Marathon can be a success is if you choose to ignore data you find inconvenient or distasteful.
but you are the one ignoring the real data, you dishonest nigger
veilguard was top seller on release only, then it flopped hard
there is plenty of big releases in top sellers, like crimson desert, death stranding II, all way below Marathon
keep coping and keep seething asmonbro

Why would you have attachment to this at all? Especially to the point you'd want to defend it or preorder it? Do you just eat slop for a living or what? The dev is in a death spiral, their last game is hated, this game has had nothing going for it from positive word of mouth. It's just insane how people can plug their ears and still blindly slop this up. RE9 just came out. Crimson Desert in 2 weeks. If you find yourself playing this or carrying about this over them you're a fucking lost cause.
>>
>>734213256
Out of the top 100 games on steam best sellers 71 of them cost less than marathon.
Steam best sellers is based upon revenue.
I should not have to tell you why its not good

>>734213724
why do you spend your free time trying to make people not to play a game instead of not being a sad pathetic nigger on the internet and let people play whatever they want

Here is the current list of global top sellers. In this list, only RE9 and Crimson Desert are 'big releases,' with RE9 having just come out and CD coming out in two weeks. Mewgenics would be the next newest, and it's at #10. The others are all multiple years old, especially fucking Division 2 at #8. So no, there aren't any 'big releases' that show how good Marathon is doing. The fact alone that CS2 is already back on top shows that RE9's sales peak is over.

And then, when you add in the very weak engagement from the free weekend playtest, it's easy to see why anons believe the game will underperform. Like I said, Marathon is only a success if you put on horse blinders and stare blindly at the global top sellers chart while also refusing to understand how that chart actually works.
>>
>>734207351
what's with the forced/artificial war between this game and arc raiders?

what's woke about Marathon. Why do you care so hard about some random ass game of failing?
>>

I can only lead you to water, shill-kun. I cannot make you drink.

>>734214368
>what's woke
I don't know why you idiots keep asking this, because the answer has been the same:
>androgynous they/them robots with 'diverse' faces represented (no white guys)
>game is made by one of the most woke studios in gamedev (Bungie)
Initial woke content is present in the above, with future woke undoubtedly coming because it's Bungie. (I'd post the shitty pic of Destiny's Vader skin with the trans pride color scheme if I had it.)
>why do you care so hard
It's a treasured past time on /v/ to laugh at companies failing because of their hubris, and this is no exception.

>perception really changed about Marathon!
This is one of the half dozen bizarre marketing lines the shills have in their script, and it's entirely untrue. The marathon perception was dominated largely by indifference (normalfags forgot about this shit a week after it got announced), then by the art scandal (but still mostly indifference), then by anons circling the game like vultures because they can smell a flop coming and want another hit of that Concord heroin. Too bad for them the flop is going to be closer to weed with a little bit of coke sprinkled in.
