This game actually fucking slaps and it sucks that its director is stuck down in the REmake mines for the foreseeable future. I legit think if it had a higher budget and didn't have a really stupid name where its a sequel to a 3DS spin-off it would be considered a top tier Resident Evil by most of the fanbase.
I just started it. Replayed Rev1 a couple of days ago and this would be my first Rev2 playthrough. Hopefully it's as good as the first one or better.
The game itself was ok, I just didn't particularly care for the chapters being organized as "episodes" with recaps like we're watching a tv show or something. MGSV did the same thing. I'm glad japan stopped doing that.

But then it becomes extremely hard to believe that life is still somehow normal after 6 and all these new BoW and virus variations keep popping up.
