When did gaming become such a mental commitment? Coming home from work and trying to get in the mood to play something is a fucking effort. At least in the days of "300 channels and there's still nothing on" you were beholden to whatever was airing at that time so there really might be nothing on. I can play whatever the fuck I want to, why can't I find the incentive?
;_;
The most likely answers are that you're older and perhaps a touch depressed. Another possibility is that current economic circumstances make everyone feel like they're rushing and grinding and that spending time on something not productive feels worse than doing nothing at all
why are gamers such good goys?
try having more than one hobby
work requires effort or you work too many hours
I don't think about games at all
>>734219467you have clinical depression, or possibly a vitamin D deficiencyare you canadian and/or brown? those put you at high risk
eat banana
>>734219467Do you work in front of a monitor? Your brain might equate monitor = tedium.Get a deck or something and game away from a desk or anything that looks like work. Go on the back porch, whatever. Get away from things that look like a pain in the ass.
>>734219467Sounds like a personal problem.I never buy a new game before I'm done with the old one.
I just play the same games over and over. I only play like 3 or 4 new releases max every year.
>>734219467>When did gaming become such a mental commitment? Coming home from work and trying to get in the mood to play something is a fucking effort. It's weird to me that stupid people say stuff like this, but they never find 4chan tiring. Let's look at 4chan>a hundred threads>all full of stupid people>some threads have hundreds of postsThat's not tiring? At least when you play a video game, you experience some form of intelligence. It could be from the people who made the game, or maybe the people playing it. This thread is already on Page 8, for example, so that's how hard /v/ is spammed. I think the real problem is that you're tired from the slavery, and you blame video games for some reason. I played video games all my life, and while playing them can tire you if you do it long enough, it's not any more tiring than using this website. That's why I was in one place or the other the whole time.
>>734221158>valve shill
>>734222315OP made this thread an hour ago, so I'll assume the NPCs couldn't even handle an hour on 4chan, whereas I spent my life here. Look at this image, because this is 4chan. Who's going to read any of this shit? Gaming is tiring? Life is tiring, my small brained friend. If the stupid people who made up the userbase of this website were tired, I wouldn't be looking at so many threads being spammed all day. They just have so much energy because none of it is used to think.
>>734219467Gaming wasn't made for normalfags. Stick to going to parties and talking with people while going on 20 dates in a week.
>>734219467>When did gaming become such a mental commitment? When you - Got into Live Service Games- Grew an impulsive buying behavior- Experience "FOMO" Y'know there are some people who can ONLY play live service shit like MMOs VRChat Hero Shooters because they demand human engagement and single player games don't do that. Gacha games don't do it in-game but people have groomed themselves into thinking engaging with other people playing the same gacha is like experiencing multiplayer lmao
>>734219467im having a blast. i got my very first computer about 1 year ago and havent even made dent in the golden age unc games
>>734222315This place is exhausting
I could say what I spend my time playing but that would open me up to people saying no wonder I don't feel like doing shit if that's the slop I'm going to fill my time with.
>>734223630>i got my very first computer about 1 year agoI remember being young too, but I was doing the same thing that I do now. That's why it's just weird to hear stupid people say>games are too le tiring :(No, the slave duties tired you, and that's why someone like me was able to play games all day for years. People like OP are just tired in general, but not too tired to blogpost, it seems.
>>734219467take it easy anon
'cause you're forcing yourself to play shit you no longer find interesting because you used to find it interesting
>>734225012This assumes I'm playing anything at all. The hurdle is I'm not even putting in the effort to pick something to play.
>>734219467I continue games every 3 months or more. The hype for vidya is killed in me.
>>734226106What do you do instead of gaming? Being a two digit IQ Nigger posting on 4chan? Guess you're like everyone else on this website. I'm leaving the thread and closing it. No, I can't tell any of you NPC Niggers apart, and that's why it's so easy to do. The slaves really just use my website to cry about their worthless lives. Incredible.
>>734226417Right now I'm watching a scambaiting livestream.
>>734219467I always love when the replies resort to depression or being older and such. It's so obvious that games are stagnating and by the time you've played tons of them you crave novelty, which games aren't providing. Is it really surprising to anyone when you play each successive game in a series, or any spiritual successors, that you're not getting what a healthy brain needs?
for me, it’s the fact that time moves so much faster when you’re older that it’s hard to feel motivated to bother doing anything at all.How the fuck is it already March?
