I think this game is kind of a trial by fire for people holding on to certain kinds of bad habits, it's the same for people who hoard limited resources and consumables. I did have one build with this that was sorta nice, it had Soul Transfer as well so the shade could overheal other cats. That was just one build though, the problem with these downed necro builds is that you have to go all in and if you get unlucky with your level ups your cat will absolutely just suck ass, downed or not

I like putting bear traps in front of elites, since not only does it stop their current movement but also stops them on their bonus round as long as you're not already in range

I think that guy is just coping. I use the "randomize tile" ability to create hazardous tiles and enemies never walk around it. I never use bear traps but I'm pretty sure bear traps are meant to be totally invisible unlike glass tiles or lava tiles.

Ive had them avoid the tiles but only when they have enough movement to get where they want and still avoid. If its max movement they are trying to do they will walk right into it just like our cats
